BoatNark

The Eyes on your vessel, whether you're around or not!

The affordable boat monitoing system for pratically everyone out there.

The Unit

Considering that originally, we just wanted to know if our boat was sinking or not, we have come a long way. After our own mishaps and much discussion with many boaters around many marinas, and many Professionals, Charter Captains, and Live-Aboards, our list has grown. While there was and is some incredible request, some things just were not realistic, although I am sure that there are things that we have not thought of. So, if there is something that you would really like to monitor to help you sleep at night, let us know and we will look into it, and if there is enough request I am sure we can make it happen.

Cellular Communication
Just a Text Message Away

Unless you are on your boat periodically monitoring everything, there is no way to know that your boat is not going to sink. So what options are there to let you know what that there is a problem? Wi-Fi is a good alternative, although not only is it not available everywhere you might go, but now you have to setup the connection if it is available. Well there is Satellite communications, which would be an excellent choice, but gets quite cost prohibitive. The next best thing obviously would be Cellular communications.

Fume Detection
Card subtitle

We have all seen the horrific videos of boats exploding when they start up to pull away. We have all heard stories of people that have died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning on their boat. Don’t let this happen to you, we help in monitoring this stuff as well.

Temperature
Heating Up

Whether you keep your boat in the water until the last minute prior to freezing temperatures, or you forgot to put the cover on the boat and now it is 150°F and the seats are melting, there are many reasons why you need this.

Batteries
Checking the Juice

While some only have one, yet others have more, we monitor the battery voltage of up 4 individual batteries. It is never fun to jump start a boat, for most, it is not like we can just pop the hood and everything is right there.

Shore Power
Power UP

While there are quite a few that think this doesn’t apply to them, what happens when your charger came unplugged sitting in your driveway, was the battery dead for the big weekend? Then there are those pesky kids, always running up and down the dock, when the vibration finally shakes your Shore Power Cord loose enough to lose power, then what spoiled refrigerator? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Ignition Monitoring
Start it up

This is a little different than most of the monitoring services. While we can tell you if you left your keys on, it also knows that the monitoring of other things will change.

Bumps and Bruises
What are we talking about?

Yep, we even monitor the big mishaps. Whether a rope came untied and now your boat is banging into the dock or if someone (always) accidently runs into your boat, you will know about it.

Float Switches
Watching the Water Rise

It never fails, bilge pump has issues again, always when you least expect it. If we had indestructible bilge pump switches. The bilge pump just couldn’t keep up with that broken hose. It seems like we have heard them all. Well we can keep an eye on 3 independent float switches, just to keep you covered.

Security
Motion Detectors

While we seem to trust more people around the marina then we do at our homes, there are always the few that make an appearance when we least expect it. Whether your expecting the repair man and he shows up when he said he would, or if he showed up at all, there are many reasons for this.

GPS
Where are you?

Every now and then boats do go "Missing", and they are not below their docks. Then again there are those that will have someone else take their boat out for service or for business. All you have to do is ask.

Auxillary Inputs
Can't think of everything!

As much thought and time as we have put into this, you would have thought that we should have thought of everything. Oh well, at least we have you covered.
