Admittedly there is not that much of a need to monitor the ignition from your boat, but it does make a difference in the backend of this unit. As an example, when your out driving your boat bouncing through the waves, your water level float switches are also bouncing around. This feature goes from looking at instantaneously generating an alarm to putting in a time delay to ensure that it is seeing more than just a launch off of a big wave. Per request, we have added an alarm for this as well, the request from parents came in that their child had played with the keys and turned it on. So now when you arm your system for “Away” mode, we make sure that your ignition is turned off. We also generate an alarm if the ignition turns on when your are not around, giving you that much more notice that someone is doing something that they shouldn’t be doing.

This input is a 12Vdc Input and can be hooked up to many sources of ignition power for your boat.
